Configuring Office files for property transfer

To transfer property values between Kronodoc and Office files, you must add custom properties to the Office files.

To configure Office files for property transfer:

  1. Open the Office file in its native application.
  2. Click the Office button , point to Prepare, and select Properties. The Document Properties pane appears.
  3. Click Document Properties and select Advanced Properties. The file's Properties dialog appears.
  4. Click the Custom tab. The custom property options appear.
  5. For each property in Kronodoc property codes for which you want to transfer properties:
  1. Type the property code in Name.

Note    Custom properties can also be transferred to Office files. Type the property code in the format KRONO_CP_<Code>, where <Code> is the code of the custom property field (not the code of the custom property definition). The property may be any of the custom properties in the workspace.

  1. Type a space in Value.
  2. Click Add. The new property appears in the Properties list.
  1. Click OK to save your changes.
  2. Save and close the file.
